Selection Process for HPSC HCS 2024 Exam

The selection process for the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) HCS 2024 Exam comprises three phases:

  1. Preliminary Examination: The Preliminary Exam serves as the initial screening stage to shortlist candidates for the Main Written Exam. Its primary objective is to assess candidates' knowledge and understanding of various subjects relevant to the HCS exam syllabus. Candidates who qualify the Preliminary Exam move on to the next phase of the selection process.

  2. Main Written Test: Following the Preliminary Exam, successful candidates proceed to the Main Written Test. This stage delves deeper into the subjects covered in the HCS syllabus, evaluating candidates' comprehensive understanding and analytical skills. The Main Written Test plays a crucial role in determining the final merit list of candidates for the HPSC HCS 2024 Exam.

  3. Viva Voce/Personality Test: Candidates who achieve commendable scores in the Main Written Test are then called for the Viva Voce or Personality Test. This phase involves an interview conducted by a panel of experts to assess candidates' personality traits, communication skills, leadership abilities, and overall suitability for administrative roles within the Haryana Civil Services. The final selection of candidates is based on their combined performance in the Main Written Test and the Viva Voce/Personality Test.
